Short B4 vs RC10 (WOIN)

Post by soniccj5 »

Tonight I brought both my Old is new RC-10 and B4 to the track.

First I started out driving my RC-10 with a 10.5, ProLine holeshots rear, ribs up front, and a 40C LiPo. It took me a couple laps to get into the rhythm of driving a 10.5 after the last race with a 17.5 in the B4. It was handing good, but was pushing a bit through the corners(expected). It was very solid, and the extra power of the 10.5 made tripling the jumps easy.

Next up was my B4 with 17.5 and bar codes all around. It felt more responsive, and even though it had a small push under power coming out of the turn, it was much easier to get around the tight turns. The 17.5 made it harder to triple, but it made up for it with the smoother handling.

The LiPo in my RC-10 broke before I could try out the bar codes, and I am running a S148 servo in the old is new, so it was not a apples to apples comparison, but it was fun.

Not ever driving a modern 2wd buggy until this past month, I really had nothing to compare my old is new too, but now I can say I am very impressed with how well the old is new performs on the track.

Future plans are to move the 17.5 into the old is new(VONATS), and the 10.5 in the B4.
