This is a pic of my truck I just finished getting it back in shape.
I bought it used and it is my very first rc ever.
I wish I knew what year it was built and what it's worth.
Not that ill ever sell it but I am just curiouse.
I cant seem to find another one with the red aframes and associated chasis parts like this one has.
yeah, that was one of the cool things with the RC10 and other that had white nylon parts. A little dye and some hot water and you could color your car to pretty much whatever you wanted! You just had to be careful, some plastic blends can't be dyed, they just kinda get slightly stained.
I have parts that are blue, black, pink, orange and red from various purchases, though I have used black and blue personally.
And to anticipate the forthcoming question - no, there's no way to remove the dye

Well like i said it's my very first rc.
I will probably keep it forever, and i kinda like the red.

Cycle art is my local hangout. Dickie as we call him has been into rc's the 70's and I consider his brain as a rc history book. I also found out recently that he originaly designed the Big boys toys sprint car based on the rough rider platform...

You mean It wont get stuck 50 up a 100 oak tree, like my plane did last year (thought I had enough battery to make just one more go around !!!)
So this started as my Cliff Lett replica but the tranny case and rear arms were way to nice to dye black so i decided to just do a vintage racer build. Will get Vintage electronics and mirage ss body. Trying to decide if I wanna use the Yoke rear...

What kind of electronics are you running? Depending on the answer, you may be able to move up to a Lipo setup, which is sooooo much more fun. I went to Ni-mH which was much better than Ni-Cad but even with a Ni-mH 8.4V vs. a Lipo 7.4V, the Lipo was...
Would it enhance the value of my 1986 Cadillac short arm to include the original body with the single boring color paint job?
Because I'd just as soon use it on the quasi-worlds I built up out of parts if nobody would be interested in an old body...

Meh, not really. Kudos to him for finding deals ($40 for three cars and that Stealth CE was one of them?!) but he's not real knowledgeable about the car itself.
Sure, those old-school resistor-type speed controllers are rare... rare because...
