Do, or do not! There is no 'try'!

Very nice looking build!

This is something I want to do some day but am having trouble finding the correct tires!

The Holiday buggy tires came up on eBay for $60 buy it now and I jumped on them as quick as my fingers could type! The front Proline Knobbies come up on eBay way more often then the Tamiya rears! I even bought a set of Proline rear tires because I read those were the ones he used so I guess you could say I paid more like $90 for the rears!

Thanks for the compliment Rod! :D

Got this baby in the mail the other day. Was thinking about cutting the chassis sides down like the original Halsey Car. What do you guys think? Cut or no cut?

I actually got a chance to test them out on my son's Pinwood Derby car yesterday. Gotta say.... not bad! LOL
I can only imagine it will be like getting the first scratch on a $70 race body! "It's only the first scratch that hurts the most, then it's just another race body!"

Just to be safe mask it off with duct tape (maybe even a double layer) around the cut lines so that if you slip you don't do an ouwie to the base of the chassis.

Found it easier to score the edge first with the dremel cutting wheel. After that just made even passes along that score.
