Body to fit Traxxas Bullet?

Post by RedScampi »

OK, I've been totally unsuccessful in my search for a body for this car and I recently picked up another super clean but bodiless Bullet. So, has anyone experimented with available bodies to see what might fit well? I'd prefer a buggy body but willing to consider anything at this point. Pictures?

You know the AYK Radiant bodyshell is a very similar looking shell, not exactly the same but is similar.
I have some new OEM shells here. I'd be happy to give you one if you just cover shipping.

a viper or similar body should fit on the bullet. it's a very narrow chassis, so as long as the front part can clear the top plate behind the front wheels, you should be good to go. other than that, it should fit very similar to an rc10 or jrx2, at the rear.

Good to know but i'm trying to stick with the buggy look!

Due to the above suggestions, I have ordered a Radicator body from TBG(thanks Mr. Ed!) and have a couple of Radiant shells on the way, thanks to Jason! This should clothe both my Bullets and possibly the Buffalo. I'll be sure to post pictures. :)

Howdy Redscampi, how'd the bodies work out? I'm a little reluctant to pull the trigger on any $30 buggy bodies due to wheelbase and shock tower spacing differences... for instance, the body for my Traxxas Bandit is too long for my Bullet.

As it happens, I finally scored a decent Bullet body last year. I did try the Radiant body and it looks like it could work with some creative engineering, but it's shorter and leaves most of the rear end of the car exposed. I have a picture of it at home which I can post this afternoon. I have not tried the Radicator shell since I aquired the Bullet body and now I doubt I will since I have since purchased a Radicator in need of a shell. 8)
