Re: Bolink history
Those Bolink cars are classic to look back on.
They had some great looking units. It's easy to forget some of their models. Bolink pans still come on Craigslist pretty regularly around here. They had a decent following at our local track BITD until the 10L took over. On the particular track we ran on the Bolinks worked just as well, but the shop pushed the 10L so that's what sold. I can only imagine how many Bolinks are still floating around out there.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that most of the Bolinks that come up on Craigslist here are either listed incorrectly or "unknown make".

That body would be a nightmare to paint, but very cool in style! Those wheels are bad ass too.

Re: Bolink history
They forgot my favorite one. The Invader O/R. I sold my rc10 so I could buy one in 1988. No hinge pins and shocks that held 2 to 3 drops of oil. That car just loved to fall apart, but it was fun to race. I actually have the red and yellow corvette body that was next to the off road buggy on their earlier box pictures.

Re: Bolink history
cool site, i always liked the simplicity of the bolink cars yet never owned or raced one.
we were recently thinking about starting a legends class on our small carpet oval but there wasn't much interest.

Re: Bolink history
Hmm, I have a partly assembled Eliminator MT in my basement, I'll have to finish it up sometime. It's really just a pan car with big tires and a gear reduction in the rear.
