Losi JRX Pro or early model XX
Losi JRX Pro or early model XX
Hi Guys
I bought a Losi buggy which I think is one of the aboce mentioned models. It has a yellow RPM gearbox does anyone have a knowledge of these, what they are like if they were sucessful etc. I will post some pics in the next couple of days as I am interested to see which model it is that I have. Did the XX have any JRX2 molded parts used on it as they car has a JRX2 front bulkhead. Any info would be gratefully appreciated.
Regards

Re: Losi JRX Pro or early model XX
If the box is yellow it is likely a MIP box and not an RPM box... also I don't recall RPM ever making a box for early Losi buggies.
Pretty much nothing is shared between the XX and the JRX2 platform. The XX series was the next evolution of the X2 which ended with the SE and LXT. If the front bulkhead has JRX2 molded into it and the box is MIP, then it is a JRX2.

Re: Losi JRX Pro or early model XX
or a JRX Pro... does it have a 5 link suspension? red nylon parts? What kind of chassis is it: molded plastic or flat graphite? Are you talking about the gear cover or the tranny halves? Answer those question, and we will most probably find out without any pic
a cool game in fact!

Re: Losi JRX Pro or early model XX
did mip actually make a complete box for the x2? I thought A/L was the only aftermarket transmission.
If therre is a mip trans i'd like to see those pics.
The problem with id'ing the early losi cars is that (almost)everything is interchangeable, many of the cars out there are a combination of parts from different models.

Re: Losi JRX Pro or early model XX
Thanks for all the info guys its gratefully appreciated. As with other older buggies I guess lexan bodies are rare for them, does anyone know of an alternative that would fit even the newer Losi buggies like the XXX etc. The body on mine is not in good order and I would like something newer to be painted but with the vintage chassis below.

Re: Losi JRX Pro or early model XX
Original SE bodies, to date, don't exist. I have never seen one.
Alternative-wise. Anything really can be made to fit, but keep in mind once fitted it might look like they mess together properly. I have two SEs and have not tried to put another body on it (yet). I suggest, just pick something and try it out.... then of course let is all know how it turns out.
