I still buy mostly true CDs myself. mp3s just don't really cut it on big systems unless they're ripped at zero loss which kinda defeats the purpose... :? Nice selections, but with your user name I would have expected some David Lee Roth or old Van Halen. 8)

I hear ya, thats a given. I have almost everything Van Halen ever produced, on CD and some vinyl.

I was 14 years old and the concert at the Olympic Saddledome was a mind blower! So loud, Tons of people, great show. We are talking years ago here.

So onto the new music, Van Halen will will rule for years to come, but what is next? Lets see what is coming up?

Just a little story: The first car I ever bought (all by myself like a big boy) was a 1988 Mercury Cougar LS. Dual exhaust 5.0. 8) Probably one of the greatest looking designs in auto history IMHO. It was around Summer 1993. Anyway, it had a tape deck and an EQ with Mercury's Premium sound system in it and 62K miles. When I went to pick it up I was super excited, but too cool to let it show of course. I slipped one tape into the pocket of my 550 straight leg Levi's in preparation of driving it off the lot. 8)
Van Halen "1984"!

Not enough can be said about that!

I so remember my first "Audio system". I had a Audiovox EQ, an Alpine cassette deck with FM.

There was a booster of some sort, and 5 inch speakers up front, and 6 inchers in the rear (Thats what she said) OOOhhh!!!!!

Added some 6 by 9's at one point, and a rear "sub" It was an 8 inch woofer of some sort. Hahaha!!!

It was not my first car/truck. But it was in a 1976 Toyota HiLux, 22R, I had alot of fun with that truck.

Ripped the whole bed and such off of it, and painted it a black and white scheme. Flat deck. Called it the Cow truck.

Back to what we are playing... Tonight was the Flames game, Good win over the Oilers, and now some Pink Floyd or some Van Halen. Maybe some Dance Mix 1990-1997.

Cool. The Mercury Cougar is one of the few American cars to have IRS. Some others being the Corvair and Corvette and T-bird.

Too funny guys. I was building car stereo speaker boxes for money in woods class while in high school.
For a reference to the above with Crash Test Dummies, that album is superbly recorded with some really cool moving voice effects that are nice when played on appropriate equipment. I always liked this tune from that album.

You must be Bob and Tom fan too. 8)

My favorite Christmas song. Probably because it was so popular right when I was at the prime gift age.

Sorry guys, but when I sent a friend a text about Band Aid he reminded me that Hear N' Aid is where it's at! I can't deny that he is right. 8) (and yes, the audio gets better after the first few seconds)
