Re: 1984 IFMAR Worlds 1/12th
Hi Guys.
This article doe's indeed bring back memories, unfortunately not all good.
You see it was Me (Nigel Hale) who was punted off the track by Mr Bartos in the Stock A Main. The report also states it was for 2nd, but was in fact for the lead.
It was a very long time ago, all forgotten about now.
On the up side, i'm still racing 12th in the British Championship and do very well, can still make the A on a very good day. But this is getting harder as every year passes.
I still race for Associated / Reedy and this year has been my 29th year with them.
Will be attending the Worlds in Holland next year. Don't think I will be at the front, but very much enjoy watching the skill of those who will be up there.
If any of you are going then please come over and have a chat.........
Cheers.

Re: 1984 IFMAR Worlds 1/12th
Hi Nigel, Kent,
great to see details again of the 1984 event.
As a Parma driver my recollections of shunts, is more related to Associated "Team" driving in the heats!!. But then I would think that.
My car was referred to as twitchy in the final, it was only after the final that I found out the Novak servo (changed after a failure in one heat) was not propertional left to right i.e turning left was mega touchy!
Anyway great memories. I went back to karting but sometimes pick up a RC mag and still see names I recognize, great staying power guys.
All the best
Chris Arnold
Has anyone ever seen the video of the 84 event? I remember one being done but never seen it.
