I could easily buy matching TLR 22's for what I am spending on my RC10 build but you dont have to. Tower Hobbies often have good coupons for free shipping and spend 200 get 25 off and such. About once a year I get a tower coupon for buy 50 get 25 off. I always pounce on that and order $50.01 worth of stuff.

Like was already mentioned, you only need to spend what you want to spend. If you break something chances are a member here will have one to send you cheap.

Thats whats nice about RC10talk. The members are always willing to help.

for my runner build i think im in ~250ish? mostly brand new parts. but my goal was a reliable/drivable more modern car with relatively easy to get parts. for real racing i already have my ft b4.1, which was significantly cheaper, lol.
