Agreed. 8) A lot of the hair bands don't get the respect they deserve for their talent. A lot of people think they were all glam. Most were extremely talented in all areas of music. There's great stuff out today too if you look for it, but that era deserves a bit more respect when it comes to their place in history.

Love Weezer! A selection from the Red Album. Probably my favorite CD of theirs.

Can't get enough of this lately. The ol' lady is getting a bit tired of me serenading her with it around the house.

That's one of my favorite songs to sing Rod (terribly mind you). They use to have a killer live version on youtube, but it got pulled after years of being on there. My only guess could be that they were going to include it in a DVD or something and didn't want people to be able to watch it for free. :?

Anyhoo, I have the rest of the week off, so...

Currently playing: The Rain by Missy Elliott
preceeded by The Feeling's Back by Suicidal Tendencies
preceeded by Get Up Offa That Thing by James Brown
preceeded by A Holly, Jolly Christmas by Burl Ives (skipped fwiw).

You have to love having every bit of music from 30+ years on one portable device.

I am currently debating transferring all my vinyl to digital as well. That way I can get my Three Dog Night, Commander Cody (and his Lost Planet Airmen) and Hot Butter fixes.
The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.

Sounds familiar. I've been known to listen to country, metal, rap, rock and blues all in the same hour. My wife can often be heard saying "How come you can remember every word to every song ever written, but you can't remember to pick up milk on your way home from work?"

My buddies and I could often be heard yelling "CRACKER!" at bands back in the mid 90's when we were single and going to bars 6 nights a week. Sometimes the band would eventually yell back "We don't know any Cracker!" That only made us yell it louder!

Well I hate when one of my beloved "alternative rock" songs goes pop 3 months later which is exactly what happened with "Pumped Up Kicks" . But I have to say that I like this from Foster The People too. Hopefully I won't be listening to it with my wife and daughter on our way to Dairy Queen in 3 months.

A list of what I picked up today from work. I listen to it all.

All on CD, and I will get to them eventually. I listen to a wide range of music. Home audio is a second or third hobby, I have a good assortment of gear.

Nazareth The Anthology 2 cd set
Triumph Greatest hits CD-DVD set
Quiet Riot Greatest
The Who The Ultimate Collection 2CD set
Whitesnake For Ever More CD-DVD set
Billy Idol Very Best of CD-DVD set
Rush Gold 2CD set
The Hip We are the same single CD
Asia The Definitive Collection
LMFAO Sorry for party rocking (I dunno, was $3)
Mr. Mister The best of
Animotion The best of
Twisted Sister Under the Blade Special Edition CD and DVD
Yaz Upstairs at Eric's
LULU Lou Reed and Metallica (Never heard of or seen this CD)

We sell alot of CD's at $6 or less, so I spent $68 on this lot. Good deal if you ask me!
