Vintage AE lovers, who's from New England?
Vintage AE lovers, who's from New England?
Hey guys, I'm curious how many AE-heads on this forum are from New England? If so, what tracks do you go to, if any? I am in Southern Maine myself, and I go to Maximus Raceway in York, ME. I plan to hit that ROAR track in Fitchburg, MA at some point this year (forget the name of it, but if you're from MA, I'm sure you know the one...).
A lot of the people at the local tracks don't really seem to get the vintage AE thing, you probably know what I'm saying.... It'd be nice to see some people who get it now and then...

I am in central NH. Our local track is in Pembroke (just outside Concord).

club site here: http://www.nearclub.com/
RC Excitement is the one in Fitchburg- indoor & outdoor dirt and carpet plus a full shop. http://www.rcexcitement.com
Our track is club-run... there is a hobby shop on site, but right now they are not affiliated (read: not open all the time we race). The LHS started building a track this year and they have the desire to be involved... we'll see what 2012 brings (besides the apocalypse that is).
Being a small, club-run track they are very open to letting everyone run, and when there hasn't been a full class (vintage, buggy, etc) they are open to allowing you to run in with another class (obviously not for points). I've run a few times with a Tamiya Hotshot or my Traxxas Rad2 (
I sold it) in with the stadium trucks. We've also had a couple Grasshopper/Hornet-only races.
One day during the kids' February break we try to load up every RC that is running and go for the day to Fitchburg. Last time I think we went with 11 and came home with 4 still intact.
Good luck & hope to see you around!

The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.

north west connecticut here. i race @ rchobbies and more(rch&m) in winsted ct and rc hobbies and raceway (rchr) in waterbury ct (home of the vintage nationals).
Re: Vintage AE lovers, who's from New England?
It seemed pretty dubious that nobody would be from New England on here. What with if having millions and millions of people and all! Besides, it makes sense that the coolest region in the US would be into the coolest RC cars, right?
Hopefully I'll see some of you guys out at a track someday!

Anthony (Vintage AE) better not have any lovers in New England! I don't think his wife would approve!
I just read the title again and this came to mind!
