Schumacher battery clamps?
I got one pair of old black battery clamps in a 1/12th lot. I know exactly how the first version white clamps do look like but not for the black ones. Are these clamps from Schumacher also or any copy from a different brand?
Actually I thought the black clamps from Schumacher had a round threadad aluminium insert and not a square nut like at the picture but maybe I´m wrong also. Someone knows?

Re: Schumacher battery clamps?
That seem to be close but not exact like this, but dyed dark blue. Pic is from the prototype CAT. If Your part too is from Schumacher, seem like they produced multiple little different battery clamps at beginning.

Re: Schumacher battery clamps?
The clamps at the CAT picture is prototype. These never were released. The original white clamp was machined from Delrin and didn´t have any nut or threaded insert so the screws were going right into plastics. This caused problems as the plastic thread was stripping also the clamp could break as Delrin isn´t very sturdy, it´s just easy to machine. The 2nd generation clamp then had a nut also the material was changed frrom the white Delrin to moulded black plastic at the same time.
Re: Schumacher battery clamps?
I don't think they're Corally. Well, not for the Corally CAT chassis anyway. I have a Corally CAT chassis and have been on the lookout for the battery clamps for some time now. The part on the Corally chassis to which the battery clamps fit is a lot smaller than the equivalent for the original Schumacher chassis so the grooved bit along the bottom of the battery clamp needs to be a lot shorter to fit the Corrally chassis properly. That said, I don't know whether Corally produced battery clamps for the standard Cat chassis though....uzzi wrote:hmm weird the way the screw goes in is also different to the Schumacher one....Corally perhaps?

Corally battery clamps can be seen from pic below: JirkaCNA75 wrote:I don't think they're Corally. Well, not for the Corally CAT chassis anyway. Re: Schumacher battery clamps?
That´s exactly the black clamps I thought I have seen also. The difference is the Corally clamps have a round aluminium insert the Schumacher a nut. Comparing the pictures you can see the difference. Meanwhile did see some other pictures with the black clamp like mine at Schumacher cars. So it seems it´s really a Schumacher clamp ...... or a 100% copy.

Those look a neat affair, but they don't look like they would fit the CAT chassis that I have. The grove along the top still looks too long. They must have produced bespoke ones for various different chassis. I'm thinking that I shouldn't be holding my breath finding any....seems unlikely.

Here is a link to page that has more pics about those: http://www.corally12.nl/Ned/PK%20Corally/PK.htm (and other Corally stuff too...)CNA75 wrote: Those look a neat affair, but they don't look like they would fit the CAT chassis that I have. Thanks. I saw that site. Unfortunately, there's very little that I could find on the Corally CAT components.

Re: Schumacher battery clamps?
I had a set of the white clamps with my XLS stuff..... not sure if they went to the person I traded my parts to or not - Millhouse, if you see this, maybe you can say.... either that, or I go and search for my last remaining Schumacher 4wd parts....

Re: Schumacher battery clamps?
Does anybody here have links to battery clamps like those (color doesn't matter)? Or are they no longer made? I'd like to check those out. Thanks!prp wrote:PARMA made too in black
