I need help putting b4 wheels on vintage rc10
I need help putting b4 wheels on vintage rc10
So i dug out my rc10 stuff from 15 years ago and I need help.
I am currently working on rc10 graphite championship car
Problem #1
I would like to put new style b4 wheels on car, So I can take it to local track and hang with the new ones. If some one could tell me what parts I need and where to get them that would be great. Part numbers would help So I can search the recomended site and find them.
Problem #2
I purchased a short course speed passion brushless esc and motor along with some lipo batteries, while it was super fast (felt like twice as fast as 15 yrs ago) I think I fried the esc after just one battery. Why did this happen. I have an ezrun combo on the way. That was supposed to go in my original rc10t.

Answer #2 Did you have the speed control in lipo mode? If not, thats probably what did it.

tried that a number of times. I am pretty sure it is dead.
Any input on problem number one i am anxious to get this thing updated. I want to see if I can still drive and if it can compete.

Lots of things can cause something in the system to go inoperative. Do you get any lights on the esc? Does you battery have a full charge? All sensor wires in place etc? Frying and esc is rare, unless you hooked the battery in reverse

Battery is full even tried different one. wires hooked up and lights are on

Re: I need help putting b4 wheels on vintage rc10
Thank you jwscab. I read that a week ago. I got the parts did the reeaming trick and the darn cvds were to long, After re reading it, It looks like I ordered b4 cvds and not b44's. I just ordered the right ones, I hope the 31mm diff makes it work.
Update to problem number 2. esc is dead, I hooked up the ezrun today and it powered the other motors just fine, not sure what happened but I wonder if speed passion will refund me.

Don't know about speedpassions customer service first hand but they might get you a new one or repair it but I doubt there will be a refund. You say it worked fine and now nothing with no big cloud of poofy smoke? Its just odd IMO that it did that without letting any indication and still lights up. If its new and under warranty you could have a backup or try to recoupe some of your $ by turning it over on ebay. Good luck.
