The muddiest RC Race I have ever been to
This weekend was the last race in the Minnesota Electric Offroad Racing Series.
It was a wet one. I went with my camera and an umbrella. I got some great shots of all the fun in the mud.
Thought people might get a kick out of seeing the mess that was made. Glad I don't have a vehicle to clean now.
I am putting a few shots in this post. If you desire more mud, you can go to the bottom of this thread on RCTECH.NET

In the Brushed motor Short Course truck class they had it really bad. The race was 9 minutes and about 5-6 didn't make it to the end due to smoked motors. So much mud built up on the trucks that they couldn't take it. You could smell it as they would pass buy. One lasted until about the last 10 feet before finish line, so close. I don't think anyone was really upset about it though. Everybody was having a good time.

What kinds of tires would you run in mud like that? What would it do to a brushless motor?

The hardest, deepest lug tire you could get. Most motors fare fine unless you totally submerged themRC104ever wrote:What kinds of tires would you run in mud like that? What would it do to a brushless motor?

Kinda like this? Oh wait, you said RC.
This was from yesterday up in WestNC. I was SO nasty out, I couldn't walk the course with my current injury.

I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

I think the turn marshalls suffered the most!Jay Dub wrote:Sorry, but no way would I run in that. -Jeff

Yes the turn marshals get nice and muddy, also had a hard time staying on their feet.
I wasn't thinking one time and grabbed a truck that was hung while taking pictures. I had to stop and go find something to clean my hand before touching the camera again.
Some of the better drivers did back out. The top 3 10th scale buggy drivers withdrew from the main.
