Here it is, finally. After about a year of gathering parts, tinkering around, waiting for certain parts to show up, scouring the Earth of certain pieces, etc, it's finally done! And I couldn't be happier. I started out a Losi guy, I never had an RC10 bitd. It would not have been possible to build this car without this board. So many parts came from the members here. This car started life out as a busted old Jrx2. The car would have made a fine runner/beater, but I wanted a shelf queen. So, I replaced about 95% of the parts. The idea wasn't to make a box-art-stocker, I'm not really in to those. Instead, I wanted to make a slighly hopped up car, one that would have had the kind of stuff people would have upgraded bitd to take racing at the local club. It's set up for stock class racing, as those are the electronics I had available, and I ran in the stock class myself back then. I would have liked to put some zero-loss connectors on the ESC, I have them, but I couldn't bring myself to chopping off the stock Tamiya connectors on a vintage Novak that is in nearly mint condition.
Here's a rundown of parts. A&L bb bell crank steering, Technacraft titaninum turnbuckles, Litespeed Litesink, Revtech stock motor, Novak T4 ESC, Novak reciever, Losi tires, RPM (I think, can't remeber this morning) front bumper, RPM gear cover, CRP shock clamps.
I'm very happy with the way this car turned out, it's going to look great sitting beside my RC10's and the Fox. I looked at my old RCCA's for vintage paint inspiration, and I'm happy with the way it turned out as well. There are some flaws in it of course, but I don't mind, that's how it would have been if I had painted it 18 years ago too. Thanks to everybody who helped me in my search for parts for this baby.
