Not sure, but I am sure we could use a photographer this year. Do you know anyone ;)?
I know one, but he's wearing a neck brace at the moment that needs to stay on for at least another month, not too mention has medical bills starting to roll in (did I mention his insurance sucks?!)
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

If anyone is still looking I stayed the first two VONats at the Motel 6 in Southington... about a 15 minute ride, but it was less than $50 with tax and the rooms were decent. (Just checked... $43.99 plus tax this year.)
Plus there's a Denny's and a gas station just in front of it.

Looking forward to meeting everyone @ this years VONATS. Last year was my first time....amazing experience....and great display of some classic RC where it should be...on the track. Not a shelf!

I live about 30 min from the track - don't hesitate to pm me if you need any input on the area.

Freddy (and this goes for anyone else interested as well), I have some extra cars if you want to run another class. The only thing I don't really have is 4wd buggies so if you want somehting let me know and I'll bring it, just need your own electronics.

just a random question, are there any rules posted anywhere about what kind of modifications can be made to a car? im seeing cars with brand new modern shocks, custom carbon fiber, modern transmissions, modern electronics (which are definetly the best choice) etc etc. just curious about whats allowed and what isnt.

Does this mean your coming!!!??? :)

As far as "rules" I try to keep things as free of rules as possible. My point is that we need to have some guidelines to keep things similar but in order to keep cars running and allow people to have FUN I try to stay away from "rules". The closest thing there is to "rules" is on the first post in this thread. Under each class I've laid out the guidelines for each class and tried to keep them as loose as I could.

As far as modifying cars with new parts, yes thats fine. The point is to get the old cars going and keep them running and enjoyable... for those that want to run TRUE vintage cars there is a spot for them in the Classic class although I have to say there was more talk about demanding something like this than there has been talk of people ACTUALLY coming to race cars this way. We'll see who puts their money where their mouths are

One whole class for "TRUE vintage" at the Vintage OffRoad Nationals. I'll put my money where my family is. 8)

It is a great event and I am not trying to be mean or nasty... just ribbing you Erich!
I do hope everyone has a great weekend... and the weather looks to be great! Shiny-side up fellas!

I know we had a year to get ready, but I am the only one still needing to finish some small details?
