Thanks guys. That picture brings back some bad memories. I had that mechanical speed control in my Kyosho Raider and what a POS it was!

They all were, even though I'll admit I was jealous of the rc10 ones.
Our club didn't allow ESC's in standard class and that was the sole reason I didn't go into that class as soon as I got a 2WD

Im selling this Optima, but I'm going to keep the Ultima. Theres just something about the original Ultima that looks so cool to me. I want to keep it close to the original with some hopups. The plan is to add some gold shocks with new towers, and although I probably wont have any luck finding one, I'd like to find either a pro-x or triumph tranny for it.

One question though...is there a difference between the ultima and turbo ultima chassis?

IIRC correctly the Turbo was slightly thicker material, and was bronze color / hard anodized.
