Perhaps hyperclutch was a market dependent specification then? Certainly I'd never even seen one until I bought James's car and spares off him, and at last count I have 14 Vintage Lazers..... ( I'm a massive fan - currently race an ZX-5 FS2 and can't recommend it enough).

Possibly, dont forget Jamie won the uk nats with a zxr mk1 with hyper clutch and also won the 2wd I believe with the triumph but the rr was released most probably due to ellis winning the euros.

Have you read the lazer / alpha thread on radiocontrolzone.com as youll find a mountain of information including development and designs plus where to buy parts that can still be made now. Theres roughly 86 pages.

Also oople has a lazer thread, but one thing is certain, whichever one you go to youll always find someone with the know how.

No its just the Cheap britts that didnt have it  yeah there have always been "market differances" I remember I bought one from Kuwait yeah you guessed it right came with an hyperclutch. If i dont remember it wrong the hyperclutch on that car was the only thing that was built right damn there wasnt an screw in the right place, the only good with that it couldnt been run since it was not built complete.

Regarding the legend and other cool lazer Team Losi had some very hard modified lazers back in the day.

Mike dunns winning lazer for example he was using different carbon chassi first they where made like the lwb optima mid chassi so the optima mid undertray would fit perfectly. And it was made more like the evo chassi in the front using an special bumper that went under the gearbox and bolted together with the chassi, bent up so it had an built in kickup. Damn i would love to see more picks of that car.

Question regarding Lazer ZX wheels.

All the photos of Lazer ZX wheels shown here have the same width both front and rear (wider).

But my manual indicates, front is narrow wheel and rear is wider wheel.

Just wondering because the wheels of my Lazer Zx have the same width as well ( I bought it like that)

Is there any reason behind this?

Can someone enlighten me regarding the wheels evolution?

EDIT: I think only my Lazer Zx used wider wheels. My fault me and my bad eyes

lazer zx front comes OT-121 narrow wheel
rear is use maxxun FF MA-17 yellow wheel, they are different about the width.
front tire is W-5033 & rear is OT-66
