Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Nick Deangleis from sinking spring pa use to machine a killer wedge shaped mount for the 2.25 tranny. the mount went on the tranny and then you bolted it on the chassis between the uprights. the tranny was raised up slightly and tilted foward so the outdrives ligned up exactly where the original d.d. ones did. all stock d.d. rear arms and hub carriers could then be used and suspension geometry was not altered. i forget what dogbones were used but i dont think it was the c.w. ones.

A recent ebay auction leads me to believe the rear pod is from a 1/12 Delta Phaser. The high number of bidders and ending price suggest the listing was accurate. As luck would have it, my auction has zero bidders for the second time around.knucklebuster wrote:???

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
I just grabbed this HUGE lot of spares at the Post office today and wanted some enlightment about some obscure stuff I can't identify.
Quite a lot of interesting and less obscure stuff was included as well
The lot:

Box 1

Any any idea what these little bits might be?

Box 2
Quite a lot of obscure stuff here, recognize anything?

Cobra 1/8 scale body mounts

Kawada stuff, no idea what car it could fit...

Mother load of Schumacher CAT diff spur gears... wow there must be a hundred of them

MMS parts for CAT? Looks like a front diff and a layshaft for the XL(S)?

Cool Paragon antennas and 64p spurs + some Bud's ceramic pinned diff rings, no idea what they fit...

Getting totally lost on these too, nice parts by the way... Any clue?

Yokomo layshaft and slipper units,

Can you name them all?

Box 1 have a lot of fronts and rears parts from RC12 I, RC12 L, RC12 LW.
Box 2 same things than box 1
Kawada parts are for M300
The gold parts too, for M300:
http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=21253
The schumacher spur maybe for C Car 1/12 or Cat SWB.
The Slipper unit, the white for 870C,
The others maybe start from WCS...

I have one of those Bud's ceramic ring kits too. The rings are ceramic, instructions in mine say it will work on 10L, 12L, Lynx, 6 gear RC10 or any car using Associated size diff rings.

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

Anyone know who made this body, or have a part number for it? It's a baja bug body but has a sort of cage and bikini top instead of the normal bug roof. I know they haven't been made for a long time, and I've been trying to find one for my collection of vw/rc stuff but it's been hard without knowing more about it. They don't pop up for sale often. The one pictured above is mounted on a car that's for sale on that lovely, popular, overpriced auction site right now, but it's kinda butchered.
Sorry for the bad pic, it's all I can find right now! Anyways, just wondering if anyone had more info on this body that would help in my search for one. Thanks!

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
I think that is the old Proline bug body. I think Bearrickster has some better photos in the Losi section. Others might know the exact name/part no, but not I

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Alright here are a few tire / rim combos that are buggin ' me
The ones on the far left are for an RC10 - I assume (the fronts have a small star near the outer edge)
Middle top also for an RC10 - are they proline, and seem to be Dyed black
Middle bottom 1/12 front reminds me of the new Yeah F1 rims, looks and feels cheap.
Top Right has three slots, and I have seen them in Red or Pink in magazines before, has spec foam shoed on.

Upper right = black Trinity Street Spec rim.
Isn't the upper middle one a Trinity EV10 front wheel?

That is correct. Not sure about the dye job but they are proline. Not sure if proline offered these in black or not though...drbelleville wrote:Middle top also for an RC10 - are they proline, and seem to be Dyed black
