What have you had to invent?

Post by THEYTOOKMYTHUMB »

For those times when you need to look like a dork and an alcoholic at the same time!

I’m starting my 4 day weekend and have ABSOLUTELY nothing I have to do so I took some time this morning to fill a need. It can be very difficult to hold your favorite beverage and drive an r/c car at the same time, so I invented the belt koozie.

Old cell phone clip, a few zip ties and… Voila!

Let’s see those inventions!

I know what you’re thinking…‘TWO inventions in one day! Great Scot! Give him another package of zip ties and he’ll have world hunger solved by midnight!’

My initial idea was to either use JB weld to mount a permanent mounting screw to the bar on the M8 or run a hole through it. Zip ties to a tripod mount are less permanent and work just as well.

This way you could run by yourself and not have those boring static shots you see a lot of. You can follow the action. Wide angle attachment helps too.

I know the M8 might be a bit outdated for some people’s taste, but as you may have figured out I have VERY poor concentration! I find a heavier radio helps me concentrate better thru a 6 minute main.

Brilliant! Now you need to somehow combine those two inventions.

I had also thought of mounting the camera to a ball cap to follow the action.

I could go with the beer helmet(or foam dome if you like)along with the camera mounted on the bill!

yeah, I was just thinking the double beer can helmet with the camera secured to the front would kill 2 birds with one stone, and double your beer intake (or halve your empty-can-breaks)

the real inventive part of that would be to figure out a way to muffle the beer slurping sounds

This is all that I have invented, although an Alcoholic buddy of mine was always around and crashing in my RV at the big events- There are more cars that I designed somewhere in this PC

No other inventions out there? I think everyone thought I was just doing this thread as a joke, but I really thought I'd see some interesting stuff. Soldering jigs, workbenches, time machines... :D
