RPM Battery Box

I won a RPM battery box off of the bay..it was NIB (part number 7050). I thought it would be just a simple bolt on, but it came with a nail and a spacer. The problem is I cant read the little instructions sheet that it came with because its so faded. I can read it up to a point where it says to lay the chassis on a 2 by 4, then lay the battery box on the chassis with the spacer in the front. Thats where it gets tough to read. It looks like I'm supposed to use the included nail to mark a spot and then drill a hole?

I dont know. Does anyone have of of these that could either show me or tell me what I need to do to mount this? Thanks!

Place the clearance spacer(flat black plastic piece) in front of battery and place the box with spacer, battery on the chassis in position. Mark the chassis with the provided nail/punch in one hole. remove box. Drill one 3/16 hole. Place box back on chassis with spacer and punch other hole. Remove, drill , mount and your good to go.

Unfortunately, this was a universal battery box...so the chassis had to be modified.

I have a new jrx2 chassis and I didn't want to drill 2 exta holes, so instead, I modified the battery box. I cut the center section just enough to use the existing holes on the x2 chassis. So it depends on what you have to do. If this a runner and the chassis is less than perfect, you can just widen the holes to accomodate the battery box.

The one advantage about the RPM design was that it allowed you to mount the battery box far enough (forward) to allow the use of a 7 cell stick pack.
