Nice project! It's nice to see something other than box art and big name replicas.
What electrics are in that? You still need a red antenna tube!

Did anyone ever figure out who the guy was on the magazine ad whom I assume was the driver of the car. Dude reminds me of Jake on the Japanese version of 2 1/2 Men.

I think this guy was one of the Team Yokomo 2nd-line drivers during that period......... same as Hara, Adachi & Satoshi.......all of them were under Team Yokomo.......a01butal wrote:Did anyone ever figure out who the guy was on the magazine ad whom I assume was the driver of the car. Re: Yatabe Arena 93 Japanese Nat's replica-
I got the name from Kenta Kondo of KO Propo. it's Tomohiro Hirai
and he seems to still enjoy to race

Re: Yatabe Arena 93 Japanese Nat's replica-
Reggie, which one was more important reason for choosing this as a project the car or the driver?
Seriously, it is nice to see something different. I have seen this pic and the whole article years ago and that still somehow stops me thinking that there is something cool about this and all other top 3 cars.

Great ongoing project here. Gotta love to be able to wait for years before finding the final part, hunting is one of the most exciting part to me. Looking forward to more pictures and details.
