That's awesome! Too bad I can't read Japanese. Though, it looks like he used a bunch of TA04 parts. Love the imagination in that build.

hi jay,

thank you. where the heck did you find this? have you been to japan for this.
i've never seen a frog like that. stunning. i guess it will be a unique frog for a pretty long time. looks like lots of custom fabricated parts. wish i had some tools to fabricate my own stuff.

No, I saw it on Tamiya Club. Just thought is was worth saving as I am blown away by and respect these one off projects people do. I wish I has access to the tools to do the same.

The weblink Jay posted has images of the build and is much clearer than the magazine images.
It doesn't look like the guy fabricated many new parts or even has access to expensive tooling to me. I think he took standard parts from all different cars and modified them to fit his needs.

That's the way I do most of my projects also and I certainly recommend trying it: it's what kept me in the hobby while I didn't have racing opportunities.

Thanks for saving me the trouble of scanning those magazine pics, Jay

While you're on the link make sure to check out the higher level and follow some links down. His conversion of the engine car to dual moters and dual packs. And the 4x4 viper are sure nice too.
