Queen No Name is done
This is project Queen No Name. She got her name because of the ESC. It is the no name Novak Bob and the crew use to refer to as The Novak. First ESC Novak ever made but the time line still does not show it. Charlie from Novak told me they were going to add it soon.
This is the pride and joy of my small but growing collection. I bought this car last year on Ebay for a little over $100 shipped. It was listed as "RC Car missing parts". New tranny cases and a couple turn buckles later and she is done. The wait has been for the electronics. Templeofspeed finished it of with a brand spanking new NER-2S. Coupled with the NES-1A servo and old No Name, and some old Sanyo KR-1700, this job is done.
I tried to replicate the 6010 box car but there are some things I just can't get or do. Once I get the Protechs formed, I will cover it with a box art paint job (of course ).
Take a look and tell me what you think.

I say it is done, but if anyone has any ideas to spruce it up a bit, let me know.
So, are you ready to make it "correct" (after everyone, including me, has given you props)?
What motor is that?
What's up with the rear bulkhead and shocktower?
Does it have the PitA lower spring cups without slots? If so, the tower and bulkhead don't match. In fact, the bulkhead isn't correct at all, that's a later CE/Graphite version. The "two holes per side" shock tower happened about the time as the switch to slotted spring cups ("Cadillac" era). You need a bulkhead with long wing tube holes.
"Early" ballcups? Hard to tell from the pics, but looks like it.
Basically, is this an Edinger or Cadillac car?
I notice also the "orange" chassis and "gold" nose and motor plates... Difficult to get them all matching... My "rubber stamp" 6010 Edinger car has them mis-matched as well...
Not trying to bust your bubble... It's nice and all, but if you're trying to be a "stock Nazi" let's go over the details...
You asked...

Maybe I should clarify
Let me get my breath first. That is a lot of information.
Anyone with ideas that would enhance it's looks, not so much it's roots, let me know what you think. Actually I appreciate all the comments so keep them coming. You guys are aces on these cars. The volume on knowledge never ends.
This is a Cadillac and there are some things I do want to change. Some of the cups are not half round, the spring retainers are slotted. But I don't know if I will go the full art version with this. I would have to change the electronics and all that other stuff Speed was mentioning. I will probably leave it as is unless I run across the correct stuff to fix it up. I want to change the servo saver though, that one was all I had that would fit the tiny Novak.
If I ever do go with period correct, I have a good place to start
We'll see what the future holds. As for now, I have too many other projects to finish/start to start scraping for what I need for this car.
Thanks again for everything. You all are aces and I wish for just an ounce of your RC knowledge.
