Not a terrible price really, but it just doesn't seem practical except at the very highest levels. Of course anyone that races, or even visits a track occasionally knows that some guys just love to buy things so they can show them off.

It will probably make things in the brushless motor world like high end tvs. Rather than buy the $200 kit to set yours to optimal, just wait for some other guy to and then find his settings on-line and copy them...

At any rate, very cool product. 8)

I got an email from Tower about a similar thing some time ago: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXAGTT&P=ML
It may not be a full on dyno but it seems pretty cool if nothing else.

McPappy is a moron. You can get a CE Turbodyno and hook a slave bl esc to it and get real numbers. McPappy also bought a bunch of cheap tweaked carbon fiber panels cheap and produced a carpet oval car that was junk- then convinced everyone that Quasisotropic carbon develops a "memory" on oval and can't be used.

And now to start Suprbad. Thanks for that. I was determined to watch a movie in peace while my wife and daughter sleep, but couldn't decide what to watch. Inspiration comes in strange forms...
