Re: Jay and Gil
no, those pictures are from gene husting. he had one of the dead pool rc10's. that picture i posted was car 2, i think. believe it or not that one got ran over by accident on the set by a truck. jay halsey rebuilt it and gave it to gene as a thank you. sadly that one was stolen from his office, along with a few other models from gene's office. here's a link from associated with pictures of that car.GJW wrote:have you got the dead pool rc10 littlevettelove to see some more pic's/links

Re: Jay and Gil
what, so you love to hate me? i'm pretty sure i've been around long enough, but don't seem to understand "what's up" with that. i was simply commenting on what you had said, and meant nothing by it. if you think i did, and want to take it that way, go right ahead. not the first time you've done it, and i'm sure it won't be the last.littleVETTE wrote:it's a love and hate thing. you're right you haven't been around long enough to know what's up. before you start adding to the sausage fest, ask next time.

Re: Jay and Gil
I used to run my batteries back then like that, as did many racers, when we ran 7-cells for modified. It was just to bring the CG lower instead of raising it any higher with more weight up top anywhere.
We didn't run them in the "hump" pack configuration as they were sold by many since the battery sits too high.
This is just what most ROAR Racers did.

Re: Jay and Gil
So then it wasn't your idea to make the CC battery strap with the 7th cell slot on top then?

Actually yes, I made that strap for the masses running the packs that you could buy. This wasn't a brace made for the racer in mind necessarily, more for sales.

Haha I surely dated myself with that "hump pack" comment.
