i have a set, and they are very nice indeed. then again they should be for the price. i got mine when he was charging under 100 bucks.

Are there any "modern" wheels that work on the RC10?

the associated b2 and b3 rims work. you'd have to use 3/16 axles in the rear, instead of the 1/4".

I emailed the guy over a week ago with ideas about making me a custom set and he hasn't gotten back to me yet. I figure he's either really busy or hungover from Labor Day weekend :P
