So a buddy here who is yet to be named tells me he has something that I might like And ( I'll let him tell the story about how he got them ) he lets me have them but they are just a
bit dirty and rough so I started making them look new again-
You're really hooked on the pink lately. And yes, there is clearly a joke there, but I'll skip it since I am hooked on the pink(r/c)myself.
Looks like they'll clean up nice. You're clearly on your way, but I'll just guess damp rag on the top of white labels and careful work with a needle around the edge of the labels?
"The world looks so much better through beer goggles: Enjoy today, you never know what tomorrow may bring." Ken
Any plans to reproduce that label? Seems like it would be fairly simple to do but I just dont have the time. Id pay someone to do it for me! Hint, Hint!!!
Im actually after the one pictured on the box of the Worlds car. I have the black cells in like new condition. Just dont have the Reedy cell stickers for a box art replica.
With the good graces of Treehugger and Justinspeed79 I have "plenty O' braid". But I won't put them together.............the untouched cells lasting that long have to stay that way
cheat: prepare a display pack. It's not like you're going to use the battery to power anything.
heat and solder the ends of the 1" braid sections on a hard flat surface so they look like they have been soldered onto a battery. Allow to fully cool. then assemble with a thin film of silicone sealant between the back of the braid and the battery terminal. It should make a nice simulated pack for a shelfer and silicone can be easily removed from the cells if you change your mind.

That's a damn good idea Anthony!! I might just try that!!! Thanks
Has anyone bought/wired/run Panasonic/Sanyo NC2500SCR sub C cells lately? Looking for new Ni-Cad options for Vintage runners. Seems like 2500mahSCR's (non-matched...of course)....vs. 1400mah matched packs from bitd might be worth a shot? Any...

The last couple packs that I built used Tenergy NIMH cells. Then I put MCI decals on them.
Not perfect, but they don't look out of place either.
I just bought some vintage reedy motors with the classic metallic green/silver logo sticker - one pink and one yellow dot. Does anyone know what models they made and what winds etc these two represent in particular?
Thanks for any fededback !

I also ran them but forgot about the details :) I think i'll simply run them again in one of my three 870C's or my RC10 gold tub :) I can't wait building and running them... I know - i am a sad person from a true collector's point of view :)
While we have Steve Husting to share and channel our questions of AE to the proper persons, I wonder if the same can be channelled to Reedy? Of course I believe many will ask the secret of speed, but I am more interested to know the history,...

I don't think Mr Reedy is doing very well! :( I hope I am wrong! It sure would be nice to have him chat in this thread!
I have a reedy tri sonic motor. Red can with a B sticker on it. I took it apart and there is a 41 written on the armature. Does anyone have any info on this? Also is it possible to short a motor? I was bashing last week and my capacitor that goes...

Installed new capacitors. Maybe I will try another set. The fizzled motor is on my b4. The reedy motor I bought years ago and was running it in a ayk radiant with truck tires. So wrong application all the way around. I remember I brought the car...
A post for Associated's partner through the years, Mike Reedy and his motors. Here are photos of my NIP Reedy Ultra Blue Dot that I have mounted in my RC12L, and a photo of my NIP Competition Stock Motor. Reedy Motors have done very well over the...

Is there an easy way to tell the spec of motors that have lost their ‘dots’ ?
