Will a traxxas brushless velineon 380 motor fit in my rc10?
Will a traxxas brushless velineon 380 motor fit in my rc10?
This is the Velineon VXL3m Extreme Brushless Power System from Traxxas.
This is for the 1/16th scale VXL from Traxxas and will fit many other 1/12-1/18 scale rc's and boats.
Ya think I could mount this up to my rc-10 gold pan car? Its the old one with the white suspension? Will it physically bolt up?
No opinions as to the dark forces at work here please. It is not a museum piece I leave that to you.

I've been curious about that, seeing if an all-out micro brushless might reach vintage-stocker speeds in a 1/10, but be suuper lght and allow running a sideways battery.
I found ths, but haven't tried it....

it could fit if you drill holes in the motor plate... no guarantee though, you'll need to check for yourself.

I saw one mounted in an SC10, didnt move all that bad. Dont know how he mounted the motor though, MTroniks or someone had an adaptor plate I remember seeing a few years ago.

I once put a 380 brushless motor into my Evader BX pro. I used a grasshopper 380 motor adapter plate.
The motor was only 2000 kv but it went surprisingly well with a 3s 2200 mah pack. Had similar performance to a 19T brushed motor.

Re: Will a traxxas brushless velineon 380 motor fit in my rc
The Grasshopper motor plate would do the trick to mount any 380-sized motor in a 540-sized application. Most of the smaller BL systems are set up to push a lot smaller buggy though, and heat buildup is BL's worst enemy as far as toasting motors and escs.
You mentioned you went with a different setup, but if you do try this please post up how it worked out.

Ummm well yes it will fit
I bought one almost by accident as I thought it was a 540 sized motor. Imagine my face when the little 380 popped out of the box. All it took to work was lining up the bottom hole and then putting a washer on the top bolt which ends up sndwiching against the big motor hole. Ill have to post pics. I kinda rigged it this way just for a temp fix to see how it moved. After two weeks of beating on it Im in love and I am not touching it. It REALLY scoots. SHoots rooster tails Like I knew it could.
Ik this starts out with my Axial but
CHeck out the very end. that is the buggy.
