Old or new
Old or new
I have an old (1989) Airtronics radio. I never see any comments about Airtronics. Does anyone have any feedback on Airtronics equipment? I am wondering if I should continue with what I have or if I should start over with new equiment. Any recommendations?

Re: Old or new
New equipment is very inexpensive and reliable. 2.4Ghz tech has further range and fewer glitches than prior older systems, and all without the need for crystals.
Consider picking up a new cheap 2.4Ghz system and have the vintage stuff as a backup. I have a couple of old AM Futaba and Airtronics systems myself, but running modern electronics in vintage models is less of a potential headache than vintage electronics in vintage models.
If you old system is 100% complete and totally reliable, you could just go with that. But if you have to buy any parts to make it work, consider getting a whole new system.
