Re: JRX Pro Turnbuckles question
The reason there's a discrepancy is because losi changed the mounting point for the rear links. Originally, it mounted in one of those holes on the bulkhead ears. Later, they mounted it closer towards the center which required a longer link.
This modification was originally disclosed on the proformance kit which required us to drill 2 additional holes using the new shock tower as a template. The link rubbed slightly against the motor plate. Later versions of the motor plate included a notch to allow the link to move without binding along wiht the extra holes in the bulkhead.
In addition, I beleive a longer front turnbuckle was used when losi started using the shorter steering rack. I did this modification prior to Losi because I kept poping off the tie rod ends. I remember having to use a longer du-bro rod.
Below are the part numbers for the jrx2:
A-1009 Turnbuckles used for the front end. This is used for both steering and camber for the early cars. 1.5 inches
A-2005 Turnbuckles for rear (original shorter length). 1.125 inches
Newer Parts:
A-1011 Long turnbuckles 1.875 inches
A-1018 Same as above but with the plastic ends
A-6038 Long turnbuckles. 2.25 inches
A-6040 Long turnbuckles. 2.5 inches
Hope this helps...
