Here is mine. This is all the same car. The picture with the red wing was right after I built it. (1988) When I decided to get into racing I painted it green, ran in the MOD class with a mechanical speed control, 7 cell and a 10x2 motor. Lets just say I wasn't as successful as I had hoped to be. It was a monster truck for a while. (Andy's conversion) Then it was a short course truck before short course trucks were invented. Later I added a graphite chassis and raced it indoors at the skating rink on silicone tires. JG lowering kit. That thing really hooked up. The crash picture is what happens when you hit the neighbors car and you forgot to put your nose brace tubes back in. 88-92 era

Here is a picture is my Losi XX. I used to race in Cheyenne Wyoming. Every year they had a big race and I won it 3 years in a row. Stock class.

Don't think that a Tbird. Pretty sure that's the Bolink 93 IMSA Mustang GTO.slapshot1979 wrote:Well here go's ...about 1993 with my Losangles Rams hat and bolink eliminator that WAS the fastest thing on the planet at the time from what I remember anyways. I still have that thunderbird body too.

Here's a picture of my jrx2 with the proformance kit (rear shocks are mounted in front of the rear shock tower).
My optima. Had a ton of upgrades (belt drive, hot trick conversion, platnimum shocks, 48 pitch gears, etc). The only thing I didn't get for it was that ugly javelin body
The "trinity".

The Proformance kit looks like a JRX-Pro with a different chassis?

The proformance kit is basically the kit to convert the x2 into a pro. The kit came out before the jrx pro (like the lxt conversion came out before the lxt kit).Charlie don't surf wrote:The Proformance kit looks like a JRX-Pro with a different chassis?
The chassis is pretty much the same except there was no hole for the servo saver. The chassis that came with my kit was very glossy...full graphite with no white core.
The body was identical to the jrx pro except the cut line for the rear shocks is in front of the shock tower. The kit also came with the following:
long chassis
long body
h-arm conversion (these were only available with the kit, then they were released by losi)
new rear pivot blocks
extra long rear shocks
long front shock tower
new rear shock tower
purple rear springs
and the jr's choice motor
When the pro came out, it had the following differences:
long chassis (later versions had the hole for the large servo)
long body with the cut lines behind the rear shock tower
rear shock spacer
red bell cranks
red antenna holder
red 86 tooth profiles spur gear
logo wheels
front axles with the set screws
short steering rack
front bumper that mounted below the chassis
new battery box
new top shaft and gear

My 1st Cousin Bob was VERY active in the Late 80s' through early 90s in 1/10 onroad in the SoCal area... He was in the Thunderdrome 92' A Main photo published below. (The guy in the front row, middle... bushy beard.) Does anyone recognize anyone else in the photo?
