Re: TCP Runner/Racer
I have exchanged PMs with CobraKen, he reproduces the stock bodies and has a belly pan too. After the race day, there really wasnt much if any dirt inside. The body hangs down below the chassis which helps.
Have you played with using the "extra" holes in the shock tower to put modern wing mounts? They look about the size of Kyosho/Losi mounts. I will try some out next time I have it at the track/LHS.

Re: TCP Runner/Racer
I have been looking at the RB5 wing mount and it looks like it 'd fit but If it doesn't, I don't mind making 4 extra ones
At the the moment I'm using yoky wing mounts and the not-so-good old wire method.

Re: TCP Runner/Racer
I bent the wing tubes on a large ski jump, so the wing dont fit all that well any more...you have a set of K car mounts to try? Lemme know!

Re: TCP Runner/Racer
I should have some time to check mounts this weekend (fingers crossed).

Re: TCP Runner/Racer
I pulled the whole car down, cleaned it up, replaced almost all the philips head screws with hex head screws, new front bumper (rustler). I put the brushless set up in there, with no timing (waaaaa), so I geared it to the moon. 33/72, but it feels good out in front of the house (doesnt feel as punchy, but similar top end as when I was running the 17.5 boosted on 28/81). Its been raining here, so no track time this past weekend or next weekend. I will attempt to hit an indoor track, but their race times arent as family friendly as the local outdoor track.
I'm going to pick up a spare idler, diff gear and metal top shaft gear. The stock Delrin top shaft gear looks a touch on the worn side, and with brushless/lipo, I'm not worried about the weight gain (it shouldnt be much anyways).
Updates when I can (and I will try solid wing mounts soon also, LOL).

Re: TCP Runner/Racer
I got the ZX5/RB5 wing mounts. They are 1mm off from the spacing between the existing holes, but I would mount it a little higher anyway.
I think you can easily get away with only 1 pair of extra holes.
