You think that Reggie Hammer is my real name? Given to me when I was 14-

I think we all probably started out that way. Probably the best advice given to me at the track was when an older racer told me to slow down. I don't know how long it was until I figured out that using brakes could actually make me faster.

Walls can be, and parts can be "brakes" or "braken" when you strike the wall-

'Throttle Jammer' is the name given to those who do not realise the full benefit of digital proportional control on these shores  Loving the term 'Flat Biscuit' though!

P.S; is it only me who is not 'that' overwhelmed with brushless technology. I remember the first time I ran my RC10 hooked up with a 6.5 brushless, I was half expecting it to be some un-controllable beast! For sure the initial punch & mid-speed torque is impressive... but to be honest it didn't feel that much different in terms of top speed to a decent 12t mod motor with some good matched Nicads. For me the main advantage of running Brushless motors & LiPo batteries is the consistant performance & the reduced maintenance they bring to racing.... I also love the fact you only need to take 1 pack of batteries to a race meeting - charging it up between rounds without the need for discharging & needing to leave it for a week before being able to charge it back up.

I guess the issue here is the accessability for this speed & power in RTR R/Cs that anybody can now pick-up over the counter/delivered to the door from the model shop... flicking through Tower Hobbies Brochure & the adverts boast about the speed capability of each of the vehicles... naturally you are going to go for the fastest! This sort of performance was only available to the guys who put in hours of motor prep & carefull battery management BITD
