New to Me - RC10 - Part ID
I just purchased my first used RC Car. It's an older model RC10. I spent some time trying to ID this model but I believe its a Cadillac era version. It has, what I believe a broken front steerer block Model 6216. I wanted to verify this with the group since I'm not experienced with identifying the different models just yet....in any case, can someone verify that this is correct? Thanks!
This is my front end...

This photo I posted shows the "good" side....i've yet to find anyone selling the 6216 part online. Should I change it to the 6221 style?

that steering block ever so often comes on ebay. if you don't want to haggle with finding one, you could go with the later version. where the pin slides through the carrier, steering block and the axle. versus the earlier one that only slides through the carrier and steering block. now those you'll have a easier time finding. because they'll be sold, sometimes, all together with carrier, steering block, and axle. and if your not anal about it, you could get a nip packaged one in black (part # 6217). but you'll have to get the right axle(part # 6218) for it.
edit: just saw your last post.
you could also goto the #6221 steering block with a #6220 axle. and if go this route remember that this setup has a circular axle that goes into a circular steering block. versus the other setup that has a hex axle and a hex steering block.

I am changing my Gold Pan RC 10 front steering blocks to the newer RC10B4 steering blocks/axles... course, that means new front wheels in the more common 2.2 size. Send me a PM for part numbers I'm gonna use.
