Carbon Fiber and Fiberglass for custom parts

looking for info on what is a good thickness (both CF & fiberglass) to make parts like battery hold downs, shock towers & chassis braces. Do you guys use all the same thickness, what's the minimum, etc...?

Also, where are good places to get the materials?

2.5mm to 3.0 mm or .096' to .117' ( Imperial ) for small quantities Mc MasterCarr-
