I kinda think cars that are allready built should be excluded, with that being said, I can look the other way if you take them apart "rebuild" them

Would this count, or is it not Frankenstein enough?

...maybe this will get me motivated enough to finish up a few things..
If this don't work, I've got a bunch of old Ultima parts looking for a home..hmm, & an old Nikko Rhino..

Re: RC10Talk's "Low Buck Build-Off"
I have built something but it's slightly more on the mid-budget range. It's intended to be 'budget' for a racer though: 90% of the parts used I have one or more spares for and should not be expensive to replace.
Really needed to get that finished as it will be entered ina big race this weekend. Perhaps I can do a 'quicky' after that's over If the mrs lets me

Re: RC10Talk's "Low Buck Build-Off"
I'm still trying to decide whether or not mine will qualify.
lots of hand-made and used parts, but also some NIP cheap stuff and take-off parts from ebay. For example, I was going to use cheap threaded rod for the turnbuckles, but I didn't have any long enough. I found B4 titanium links on ebay with new ball cups from dismantled kits for roughly $13.00 for all 6 links. they are new, but I got them for a good price. another example, is I picked up some rulux wheels for another project, but they sell in packs of 4, so i really ended up with 2 complete sets of wheels. new, but not planned for this project, just wheels that were in my parts bin.....
here is the build....if this looks like it will qualify, lemme know! I still have to compile the build list, and I have some updates.

Re: RC10Talk's "Low Buck Build-Off"
I'm still waiting to pick up some parts/supplies to get mine going. I dont want to start and leave a project hanging until I get most the parts.

Just enter it and see what happens. I don't expect the 'judges' to be too picky seen the low numbers of entries sofarjwscab wrote:I'm still trying to decide whether or not mine will qualify.
...
Maybe I've mssed a rule: doe sit say anywhere how many projects you can enter

Re: RC10Talk's "Low Buck Build-Off"
I was planning on entering but to be honest, I'm just cleaning up an old Cadillac, slapping on some vintage parts and building an old school EDM body. Don't really think it's what the build off was started for.
