Ok so because of Scr8p's post count being as high as a small country's deficit I was curious who (aside from Bill) was the first to join and I notice a bunch of you joined on Feb 07, 2006 all within a few hours time. What happened? How'd you guys do that? Where did all this start? Who am I?

hoopty and melvin bugged bill to give them their own site so they could talk about vintage rc10's somewhere other than clodtalk.com. bill set up rc10talk, then made a post on clodtalk with the link and said here ya go. most everyone who signed up the first couple days/months were members of clodtalk.

That sums it up for the most part.
Its funny how I remember being involved in the bugging over starting this place but I don't remember why. I think I was told to so that they would have a more compelling case. Anyway, I immediately joined but then only visited sporadically for the first couple of years. ClodTalk was a completely different place back then and as it started to change I came here more and more until it became my new home.

It just occurred to me that the anniversary is this coming Monday.

Heck yeah Lowgear, we needed as many as we could get to convince Bill that this place would be worth creating. I think it was. The first year or so I know Hoopty and I had our doubts, it was incredibly slow. I'm not sure exactly when it happened but eventually this place gained some momentum and then it really took off.
