So Which One it Is ??
So Which One it Is ??
Hello from the UK
I bought this RC10 in about 1990 ish
But never knew which RC10 it is, It has Black hardware and a lightened Chassis
I have had to replace some of the parks with White over the years but very interested in restoring it
Happy to be inlightened

Re: So Which One it Is ??
looks like it may have been an earlier cadillac addressed car, but really could be anything. it is wearing parts that were more than likely dyed black, and someone who was very good at working with metal did a nice job swiss-cheesing that chassis.

cadillac addressed car ??
What was one of those ?
The milling is first class everthing is inch/mm purfect hence i thought it may be from the factory

check out slotcarrods sticky here, it explains the evolution of the RC10, you can figure out what parts came from what timeframe of production over the life of the gold tub.

welcome to the site, and be sure to search and read and enjoy!!!
the chassis would have been nothing ever offered from the factory to the public, so as I said, some skilled person did the machining.

Really cool car! The reference to the "Caddilac" here is our dating slang to help identify some of the variations in the car over the production span ( although it looks like an edinger to me
)
but what it looks like is an outstanding period correct old race car! I love the electronics ( I have one of those Futaba micro rec'r ) and the early ESC. Super car!!

Well mate
I seems a mix to put it bluntly
The colour of the tub points to a Edinger
The sterring set up looks like a Cadillac but mines is Screw rather than ball socket.
Will never know what chassis Stamp as the slot goes right through where the stamp would of been
I bought is Second Hand back then and raced it locally and looking at the Kit He spent some mony on it, the reicver being tiny
My feeling is strip and rebuild/renew where needed
Is it worth as i have some where the gear box with a stelth ?
Thanks all

Re: So Which One it Is ??
i dont think you can get a stealth in there, the slot below the tranny may interfere with the new holes it needs to bolt on.
I really like the machining/chopping of the chassis, it is a good job. Is the inside of the tub lined with clear lexan/plastic?
and vintage88 beat me to it...I like it, very unique and eye catching.

Re: So Which One it Is ??
Nice, you know I was looking at some old threads to research for my build like whitening the plastics and cutting down the chassis. I was thinking basically what your tub is. We used to drill ours out to make them lighter. Usually just round holes. But on one of the threads, I got to thinking if I did some artful holes. Thanks for posting this build up as you've given me more ideas.
Re: So Which One it Is ??
Well guess what i found
The Second pic is the Manuals for My Car (Edinger), including the Speed controler, its "The Laser ComFet Bug By Glyn Pegler" 90amps with Braking and Reverse
Also the Manual for the Motor "Twister" (16 Tripple me thinks)
But also found in the Draw to add confusion is the the other Manuals i collected, Cadillac and Team Car
O what Fun
