Spektrum compatible receivers?

Post by tesla33 »

Another question from a lost beginner! I would like to install electronics on all of my cars (16 total). I already have everything except for the receiver. I have a Spektrum DX2s which I am currently using with 5 spektrum receivers but I can't afford to buy 11 more so I was wondering, are there cheaper models on the market and if yes which ones are they?

Thanks again!

Hobby king has a few compatilbe receivers so I have heard for less that ten bucks. The cheapest spectrum I think is the SR300 around fifty bucks.

ok, thanks for the replies, so hobbyking no but losi yes right? But if they cost the same as the spektrum sr300 might as well get the original. I remember hearing of a brand which was really cheap, about 15$ but I cant recall which one it is..... damn!

probably hearing about the hobbyking but it is not compatible. Spektrum has nothing out there that is besides their own which are all in the $40-$50 range. The Losi and Spektrum brand are one in the same and are it. It would almost be cheaper for you to pick up a hobbyking radio and replace all the ones you have or all the ones you don't allready have rx for. Good luck.

I've been eyeing the Corona 2.4 system. Receivers as low as $13 each. I am going to attempt their DIY system and convert my old trusty Magnum AM radio to 2.4 and test it out. if all works well, then order up a few extra receivers and put the M8 & Spektrum up for sale.

I'm considering getting this fly-sky transmitter for my kids:

RX units from hobbyking are only $6.50!

Anybody tried either of these?

Little off topic but are there any cheap receiver options for airtronics. My MX3x can use the new FHSS3 receivers for like $80 and also the FHSS2 which I can find like for $50.
