$280? Was it mint or a restoration project?

It really does depend on its overall state. THe one I just bought has a battered body but a mint chassis and I got it for 145 dollars in ebay. In times of crisis it's hard to get a good value for vintage cars.

Well I've started my 959 restoration. Got some parts - NIP tyres, undertrays, antenna post (don't ask - previous one was badly bent), rear springs, dampers. Took the car apart, cleaned it, and have started rebuilding her. Chassis is in ace condition, a few more parts need replacing before I'll be happy with her (need a front inner bumper as it's been, well...bumped and is a bit bent).

Got a few wrong screws fitted (I need 6 x BA6 countersunk screws to hold the undertray on if anyone has any spare?) but she looks great, a little scale model masterpiece. Tamiya Technigold motor has hardly been used and is as shiny as the day it was fitted. Going to have period ACOMS radio gear (here in the UK the importer sold ACOMS stuff so all Tamiya's seemed to be fitted with the stuff).

Not looking forward to painting the TBG repro shell. It's going to cost £30 in paint (needs loads of different colours including flesh colour for the driver and co-driver!). Then I have to cut up and use my original NIP Tamiya 959 decal sheet that I paid £20+ for a while back....gulp....
