Castle Mamba Max Question
I recently installed a Mamba Max 5700 into a Gold Pan RC10. I am experiencing what would be considered a glitch. On occasion when I press the throttle there is no response from the car. What am I doing wrong that would help correct this problem.

Re: Castle Mamba Max Question
Try updating the software. I had the same problem with mine. Go to the castle site and down load the castle link program and connect the usb cable to the esc and it should update. If you don't have the cable you can get them at fry's or any computer store for about five bux.

Re: Castle Mamba Max Question
Is the system new or used? If, when it gets stuck, you push it does it go? It may be a bad hall sensor in the motor. It happens a lot with sensorless brushless motors. They use the hall sensors to tell the esc what position the rotor is in so if one is bad it can't get started and it will cog the motor. Pushing it rolls the motor over to one of the good sensors, that's why it would take off after you push it. Castle's motors are better than other brands and tend to have less of this problem but it's still possible. I'm sure a call to them will get the problem solved. I'd seriously doubt it's a problem with the esc... just sounds more like a motor problem. CC is a great company and they def stand behind their stuff.

Re: Castle Mamba Max Question
I think the OP is talking about a Mamba Max system which is sensorless, so they do cog occasionally. If there is actually no response at all when the throttle is depressed, I would run through the setup process for the esc. It almost sounds like the throttle setting on the radio may be reversed so you are getting brake on the 1st pull of the throttle and then it goes on the second pull (which is supposed to be reverse). My 2 cents.

The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.
