part ID help

Post by asashaw »

I am proud to say I no longer have any used parts!!! All my used stuff is sold, so anything I build from now on... will be brand new pulled out of a bag! 8) Oh the joy of not having to clean parts anymore, yeah!!!

So does anyone know what this last used part is or who made it. I am speaking of the metal gears... :?

thanks :)

6 gear tranny guts for sure.
Horse power is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far the wall moves when you hit it.

i'm sure there was more than one company that made metal idler gears, but tadracket posted a pic awhile back of a pair made by race master, i believe.

That could also be a cut down stock outdrive gear, so an actual Associated part, just modified. I believe that's what the aftermarket metal gears were anyway.

Buy a few hundred stock gears, setup to cut-off outdrive, sell for 3X price.

He's an idiot. Comes from upbringing. His parents are probably idiots too.
