Where is the hot bed for buying and selling vintage?

I have been buying and selling RC cars and electronics for several years but more recently for vintage type cars. I have been finding that most of the buying and selling lately goes in and out of the southern U.S. but more specifically California. What has everyone else found?

I found that more of my stuff went to the UK becuase in the 80's they didn't have ready access to all the sweet parts we did here in California
