HI!... Well I met up with a guy selling 4 RC-10's today. Was about 4 hours away but he met me half way. Anyway this is what I got off of him. From what I can tell they are :
This one is a bit rough. The owner before the guy I bought it off of went a bit drill happy on the chassis. Shame. I'm going to strip it to the tub and get a buddy who is a excellent TIG welder to fill them in and I will sand and restore it. A bit of work but I don't want to scrap it. I want to see if I can save it.
HI!... I also got a assortment of spare parts. Some are still new. And I got a NIP body for a #6163 "SPRINTER" #1????? lol! If anyone has info on the body, please fill me in.
I dont have any info on the sprinter body but it is in the back of the catalog that comes with the kits. I also have one and have never seen another for sale:) And since it doesnt have any windows in it I may try to make a fiberglass replica for a couple of my cars.
Let me know how that weld job comes out. I have tried a couple but the chassis from what i can tell get anealed from the heat and becomes very bendable. Let me know if anybody has a solution or a reversal procedure for this. i have 10 chassis that I can save from the scrap pile!!
The drilled chassis thing drives me nuts. How much weight did people think that they saved drilling that out? I saw a gold chassis on eBay the other day with a hole the size of a silver dollar in it, so I guess it could be worse!
