Ultima II / hybrid rc

Post by tim.sanderson »

I had another ebay purchase waiting for me when I got home from work last night. It's a mish-mash of all sorts of cars!
I think this one is going to be made into a brushless runner. (someday, at least)

I can confirm that the rear shocks are kyosho. They also put those on a cheap version of the Slingshot I have that came with a Chevy Lumina body. Oddly enough, I think it was called "Chevy Lumina."

I've thought of picking up a Losi Pro SE front tower for my Ultima. Now that I see it on yours, I'm really thining about it. It looks good on there. 8)

Tim... just wondering. Have you compared the Ultima2 chassis to the original Ultima? I'm curious as to whether the 2 is the proxl length or the same as the std, turbo, and pro. Also, do you think with a good stiff upper deck the 2 could be a decent stock class racer maybe?? Perhaps a little more forgiving than s uper stiff graphite double deck...like how they say the aluminum tub RC10 is more forgiving than the graphite??? Just thinking in type here. :D

EDIT: Found the answer elsewhere. The Ultima 2 Kelron chassis is longer than the Ultima/Turbo/Pro. It is the same wheelbase as the Pro XL. In case anyone else needed to know.
