Steering bell cranks

Post by Caine »

I have have yet another question for all you guys and you havent failed me yet.
In the last stages of assembling my team car now, to hopefully run on friday( pictures will follow!) However i was wondering is there any other after market bell cranks still readily available that will fit my car, or i am just gonna have to stick with the bay and look out for a hot trick set or other vintage bell cranks? Mine looks rather brittle with some hairline cracks coming. I just hope it will make it through this meet!

Thanks guys :D

Yeah i would love some :D is it just the plastics you have or the full kit including bearings etc? i have seen a set of these cranks on ebay but just the plastics and i am unsure of what hardware i need to complete the set up.

Thanks

Well, I have both. The complete set however only comes with bronze bushings . So you would need to add bearings if you wanted. The "just plastics set is usually the option of choice as you just need to add bearings (you should already have the long screws). LMK -Jeff

Cheers for the response guys. got a few options there, i have however found some bellcranks in a box of bits they are ballraced and marked HOUGE ENT, never realised i had them! they could be used but the sleeve inside the bearings where the mounting screw goes seems very worn so i'll have to hunt for something to do the job. Guess i'll keep on looking :D

Jay dub and vintage 88 you have PM

Thanks once more guys, just getting the tyres glued on the car tonight, spraying the shell tomorrow setting up and racing friday, I'm cutting it fine!

Since we're on the subject of bell cranks, I used to have a metal set that used RC10 bearings on my old car. I've seen a few on some cars here. Didn't Losi make those sometime before they started the JRX2, or does my memory fail me? ...I'd like to find another one like it.

If things seem under control, you are just not going fast enough.
