B4.1 transmission/ ball diff question

I may take you up on that Reg! ;)

CVA question: it looks like I can use the pin retainer (ring) OR the set screw. To me the grub would seem more secure.... thoughts?

On my CVA's I used the retainer ring, glued on with a dab of CA and no grub screw. According to the local fast guy it frees them up and reduces wear.

When I originally built them I used the screw and retainer ring, after I took the screw out I had a lot more rear traction through the bumpy spots.

Awesome Mark... I didn't think of the CA. I was worried about them rotating especially under BL power. :D

same here - rings, no grub screws, a TINY drop of CA to hold the rings in place... you don't want to superglue the whole assembly together :)

I also run some shrink tubing on all my CVD's just in case :wink:
