Re: chassis and values/rarity
the A stamped gold tub is by far the most rare rc10 chassis out there.

Re: chassis and values/rarity
There is a worlds chassis and nose plate on ebay right now that you can watch and see how much it goes for.
Re: chassis and values/rarity
is it possible that even a rarer chassis could be less valuable? rpm, hot trick, composite craft?

Re: chassis and values/rarity
"Values" are only what someone is willing to pay, and they are manipulatable through various means-especially when referring to Ebay-
Here is the deal, there is no way to be sure that whatever you have for sale will sell, and will fetch what someone else got for theirs. And, that the amount someone is willing to pay also is based on
multiple things at any given time, and trying to "dial in" to buying or selling trends is a full time job, so unless you have the skills, and the time-forget it.
But, if you are trying to sell some things put them on the bay and take your chances. Some of the rareist RC items are also the least desireable- that is why they are rare, no one cared enough about them in the first place to make it a common item.

Re: chassis and values/rarity
That about sums it up. The market for this stuff is very inconsistent. Some days people are falling over themselves to buy something and other days no one is interested. The trick is to buy when no one is interested and to sell when they are.
There also seems to be a misconception with rarity like was also mentioned above. Though just because something is rare today doesn't mean nobody cared about it back then. Things don't solely become rare due to lack of sales. There can be many other factors involved. What commands the higher prices are the items society has deemed desirable for whatever reasons rare or not. That goes with everything not just R/C.

Re: chassis and values/rarity
i know the old addage "its worth what someone will pay" i'm more going for a guide. for example if i saw a worlds nose nip for 50 i probably would have passed, it seems like a lot but seeing surfs post that he sold 5 of them at 100, i would buy it at a good deal. i would like the great new ones of alot of different chassis's cant afford it though
