My LHS is selling bearings for $1.50 each and at that price, replacing the bronze bushings still costs an arm and a leg. It definately will lighten up the ride not to mention the smoothness of it. Although if you did use toothpaste to polish up the bushing using a dremel or drill, the mass is still there. I say...replace the bronze bushings with bearings. That body looks to not have been backed up with any "white paint". What I did with mine was backed it up with Tamiya white paint and then spray another red to cover it up, this makes a huge difference as it brightens up the red on the body. Nice ride by the way. The rear tires is worth gold on that car...
